Trying to hook up a line output converter, got the amp kit ran, having trouble getting bass out of the sub box. We used the tweeters that are in the back in the head liner, we get treble but not bass. Is this because the Bose system has a 'crossover' on the tweeters that are in the headliner? If so, I should probably use the rear door speakers to feed the line output converter. Anybody had this type of problem before? Should I go to the back of the indash to get the signal "pre-amped" so I get full frequency response that is not altered by the Bose amp?

I'd try pulling the signal from the door speakers first...But...It's BOSE...Pulling the signal directly from the head unit won't do much better.

Man I hate Bose.

I tried the door speakers and it was nothing but mid-bass on mine. The low frequencies were filtered out by the Bose eq/amp circuits. I do have the Bose system with the factory subwoofer, so I tapped off the subwoofer line from the console amp and got my signal there. If you dont have the factory sub then you may be able to tap off the door speakers for your signal. All I can suggest is to try and see what your subs sound like.

I've been told that the factory subwoofer is in the center console? I didn't know this, if it is, I am going to tap off it to get my box to play lows. As stated above, I get midrange only from using the door speakers.
