okay guys, Im loving this forum already, cause unlike the others, we get answers here...

I have a 1995 C1500 350 - 5.7L in my burban. My mods so far are hypertech G3 PCM chip (recomends premium), K&N air filter, MSD ignition 6al and MSD GM blaster coil (will install coil this week)

Does anyone know about the hypertech chip? it came with my vehicle, but I would like to know how well of a chip it is. It does recomend premium. I normally use regular, however I put premium in 2 nights ago, and it seemed to burn a lot better and slower, and the truck diffently had some pep to its step!

the msd 6al is just amazing for this truck! major throttle response diffrent. also alot quicker.

truck has acdelco rapid fire spark plugs, bosch sprial wound wire, distribution cap and rotor. .... all this was part of my recent tune up.

However I would love to take the truck to track to get some numbers, and figure out what I need to do to make it faster.

can someone give my alot more information on my engine??? and what can i do to notice a difference.. thanks guys

Sounds like you pushed her as far you can without some serious mods like a new cam, springs etc.

A new cam with a tune for it would net you some more high rpm horsepower. The old 350 craps out around 4500 or so.

I think I did :gmc:

I was actually thinking "cam" when I started this thread, but I dont have much knowledge about cams... How hard is it to install or is it a expensive job? Im pretty satisfied right now, but I would like to get the most bang for the buck!!

a better cam will be enuff for me... lol

I dont want to do too many more mods like TC converter etc...

I belive a cam shaft and maybe some better valves or springs..

What kinda of gain will I get with a better cam and stock heads??

Is there someone who can recomend me a cam of a website or something? I just wana order it, and get it put in. Ive noticed some offer better gas mileage also, will does rob me of my power, or give the same as stock power? or maybe best of both worlds.

I also notived a street cam for performance, I need something good. But I atleast want the same gas mileage or better!

Recomendations??

With those mods, pretty good improvement in gas mileage and power. Feel most of the power in the seat and not at the track.

I would look at jegs, edelbrock, summit, or a Z06 cam for all your needs.
