2003 Silverado 4.3 Won't Start

I own a 2003 Silverado with the 4.3 V6. I recently installed a remote starter with a Pass lock bypass module. Everything worked fine until today....not only will the truck not start with the remote starter....it wont start at all. It cranks just fine and the battery seems to have power. Every now and then when I crank it it will try to start and putter for a second and then die. Everything else seems normal. What could be causing this? I don't know how the remote starter would be related because it wont start with the key either, but I suppose it could be. Thanks for the help.

This sounds somewhat like my problem......I didnt mention originally that it did rain A LOT this week end.....and i didnt drive the vehicle between friday afternoon and this morning (well an attempt to drive it this morning) I dont know if they are the same issue or not...

The truck still acts the same. I really don't want to have the truck towed....I will probably have to though. The dealer here in town is not very helpful when it comes to the service department. They only have like 2 mechanics....so I may have to have another dealer 30 miles away tow it there....Does anyone know what my problem could be. When I let off the key when trying to start it it kinda either back fires or something like its trying to start.
