Got my VIN number

Got my VIN number today for my 2500HD LS regular cab. I'm locked in to the rebate which as you know ends on the 28th. 2 to 3 weeks to get the truck.

Truck was ordered Jan 16th with the hope of getting the VIN before the deadline. VIN was assigned yesterday. Dealer said that his Rep. was following the order all the way. So it will be a good 8 weekws total before delivery.

Please verify the $2002 rebate with your dealer. After the 28th, anything purchased with the $2002 rebate and the dealer has to eat the cost regardless of when it was ordered.

I ordered a 02' 2500HD on Feb 8th and is scheduled to be built this week, my dealer said you have to be take actual delivery of the truck to get the rebate? any info. would be great because GM hasn't released any new rebates for 03/01/02 yet....

GM has announced the March rebates and you have your choice of APR or the 2002 cash back, so you can still get it.

GM Announces New Program; Keeps it in Overdrive

Detroit - General Motors Corp. today announced that it will remain in Overdrive with a new retail marketing program. GM will offer $2,002 customer cash or APR financing rates of 0.0/2.9/3.9% (36/48/60 months) for qualified buyers on the purchase of most new 2002 model Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC, Buick, and Oldsmobile cars and trucks through March.

Several models will offer $1,500 customer cash or the 0.0/2.9/3.9 APR rates. They include: Chevrolet TrailBlazer; Silverado Ext. Cab and Crew Cab; Suburban and Tahoe; GMC Envoy; Sierra Ext. Cab and Crew Cab; Yukon and Yukon XL models; Oldsmobile Bravada and Pontiac Aztek. Cadillac, Saturn, SAAB, HUMMER, Chevrolet Corvette, GMC Envoy XL and all 2003 models are excluded.
