Paint sun spot area 00 Yukon

My 00 Yukon has a area right behind the rear door, where the SLT symbol is, that is very faded. I wax it every time, but it seems to almost be spreading like a disease.

 

What are my options, other than painting the whole car? Thanks.

I would re-paint just the small section that is fading/peeling. Good body shops can blend the newly painted area into the factory painted area.

 

Was it repaired previously in that area? Sometimes body shops will use a lower quality paint or clearcoat when doing a quick repair, and then later on it will fade or peel in just that area, whereas the factory paint around the area will still look good.
