Ok. I give up. Where is the oil filter on my 4.3 (2006)... and for that matter... which one is the oil pan drain. I see the transfer case, the trans, and more... but nothing on the block?!

 

I've changed oil my whole life and I can get my entire body under the truck. I can't see crap.

 

Make me feel stupid, go ahead!

I found it. The big f**k!ng dent in the filter is what threw me off. How did that get there? Anyway - the drain is right below it, just a hair forward of some kind of un-carriage pan.

 

Stupid design.

 

Not to mention, the filter is on too tight. I can't get it off by hand.

 

(First oil change, so we know who's fault it is!)
