antenna wire removal

Hello,

I have a 2004 Yukon and I want to install an FM modulator for my Sirius radio. I have pulled the radio from the dash, however I am having a diffucult time unplugging the antenna. It really feels like it is hardwired and not a typical RCA plug into the back of the radio. Am I babying it? Do I just need to pull a litte harder? I have actually tried to unplug it with pliers and it really doesn't want to budge.

Any advice.

Don't worry, your not the only one...My antenna plug is really in there too. It feels like its not supposed to come out. I need help too!

OK.......you try first. If you get it out without breaking it. Let me know.

Of course I'm kidding. I really don't think it's supposed to come out.

It will and does come out. If you have a plastic piece surrounding it that will not come out. You will also find that the two plugs aren't the same and you will need an adapter, like the 40gm30.

Hey, i just got some pliers and pulled it out pretty easily....you have to pull pretty hard at first but it will come out after awhile...
