Hello everyone, i'm new here and have a few questions.

I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado work truck. it has a 40-20-40 seat and the middle don't fold down i was wandering does anybody know of a console that fits this seat good ? and the drink holders seem to be attached to the seat how can you remove them ? i know i can have power windows put on it but not factory it's like you take the winder handle off and mount a motor on it (so i've heard) does anyone know of this and where i can get them and the cost? and aftermarket power door locks where and cost ? sorry for so many questions ! any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rodney

I saw a power window kit from stylingconcepts.com. Go to that website and search for "power window kit". They have custom fit kits for various trucks. You may also look at J.C Whitney.

About the console:

One solution is to get an upgraded front cloth seat from an LT1 Silverado truck from a wrecking yard. You may be able to get one cheap from a late model wreck. it comes with a folding center seat back with a built-in console. I know that a standard work truck does not have a flip down middle seat back, which is ridiculous.

You can also search various truck accessory sites for a console that would fit your truck, but I think you can get an entire seat cheap if you look around. GM offers an upgraded LT1 type seat in work trucks as an option for about $ 250, so it will fit perfectly and it will look like a factory equipment seat too.

Problem is, the upholstery won't match. Replacing the entire seat is a solution, however, at an increased cost.

To avoid the problem of the lack of a center folding seat, my local GMC dealer orders most of their WT's with the upgraded seating option, which is a couple hundred extra.

If you go to an alarm shop, Best Buy, or the like, they generally can install alarms, power locks, and power windows if their skill level is high enough. A good customizing shop can do all of the work, but it costs. Yellow Pages are a good source.

That's what I meant. Replacing the entire seat.

Just to clarify: Vinyl seats are standard on work trucks. Cheap looking cloth seat without the center console or an arm rest is an option, but probably a no cost option, and many dealers order these. However, you can get the LT1 trim type front seat for about $ 250 in a work truck as a factory option. This is the same seat that LT1 trim package trucks get, and it comes with a fold down center seatback with a built-in console for storage. And the cloth quality is much better too. Worth every penny when buying a work truck. This is the type of seat I would recommend geting from a late model wrecked truck. The entire seat. It should bolt right up to the existing seat mounts.

Then you can sell your existing seat for a few bucks on eBay.

Llebroc industries makes a back section that attaches to the OEM seat that folds down, and matches the upholstery. Cost about $ 200.
