4x4 Lights Flashing

I have a 2000 Sierra 1500, it has a 6 in lift with 315's on it. I have tried recently to engage it into 4 wheel but the lights just flash on anything but 2 Hi. So I replaced the push buttons with a new one and that didnt help the lights still flash. I can hear the t-case shift like it should but I still dont have 4 wheel. Any ideas?

I have a 2005 Silverdo 2500 with similar problem but inverse, it is engaged in 4x4 and it doesn't respond to the 2wd button, the light flashes it makes sound but doesn't disengage. Any help?

I had the same problem in my 99 z71. The 4wd wouldn't work unless you sit there and punched it and held down the buttons forever. I bought a new 4wd switch and put it in and it still was doing it. I figured out that the wires that connect in the back of the 4wd switch become loose and you have to play with those wires and try to get them wedged into that slot they go in, also some electrical lubricant helps (spray it in the actual wire receptors).
