4 x4 Front End Alignment

After replacing my front hubs and adjusting the T-bars, I will need an alignment (94000 mi).

Didn't talk to the dealer yet, but would I be better off getting the job done at the dealer or just go to a local garage?

Heard stories - alignments are like oil changes, nothing gets done, but you pay anyway.

Any clues as to what the dealer might charge for the alignment? I'm almost afraid to ask.

Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks

Where ever you get your alignment done, either dealer or local garage, ask for a before and after print out of the alignment. Then you would know if all adjustments were done. Yes, some places will just set toe. So ask for print out, make sure all is within spec.

Oddly enough, I found out that dealers are very comptetitive on alignment prices. I would stay away from places like Allied tire or similar discount tire stores that emply highschool dropouts.
