Coolant Temp Sensor

My 99 Tahoe 5.7 stumbles when cold. Runs fine when warm. Can you check the coolant temp sensor with an ohm meter?

Mine measures ~8000 ohms at 40deg F

Does that sound right?

I found this on the net ECM Codes It has a table for the coolant temp sensor under code 14.

 

I don't think your problem is the temp sensor.
