silverado wiring

I have a 1983 3/4ton 2wd silverado that I need a wiring diagram for. the truck is fully loaded with power locks and power windows. What I need for it is a wiring diagram from the fuse box back, so basicly every wire in the truck. If you can help me in any way I would apreciate the help

Have you tried looking at a Chilton or Haynes manual? I know that the Haynes manual I have for my 2001 Silverado has complete wiring diagrams.

no I havnt tried either of those. were could I pick one up at

sbw9056 is right. That manual does have a pretty good wiring diagram in the back of the manual.

 

Any auto parts store should have the Chilton or Haynes manual. I know some guys don't like either name but for the $$ they are good enough. If you start getting into heavy maintenance, then I would probably go with the other big name brands or the GM Tech Manual.

 

I think there was another post on here a few days ago that had everyone talking about which manuals were the best.

 

I think they usually run around $20. I bought mine for my 2000 GMC 4X4 and my wife's 1999 Toyota 4Runner 4X4 at Advance Auto Parts (formally Parts America, formally Western Auto).
