2003 2500HD: Switched 12+ volts for amp turn on lead?

I've been for a week now trying to figure this out:

 

I have an '03 Chevy 2500HD that I added a small subwoofer and amp in. I eventually used a fuse tap into the "SEO ACCY" circuit as my 12+ volt turn on lead when the key is in the acc and on position. I have a non-Bose deck with cd player/tape deck/factory XM/OnStar etc. The problem occurs when I turn my truck off, and before I open the door, the stock deck stays powered on... but I lose my amp (and therefore bass) because the key is in the "off" position. Please answer me this: is there any circuit in the truck that can provide my 12 volts to my amplifier turn on lead AFTER the key is off and BEFORE I open the doors?

 

After much research I've found that my deck power wire is constantly hot and the trucks computer sends the deck a signal when to turn itself off and on. With this in mind, I'm thinking that there probably is NOT such a circuit that I'm looking for and I'm going to have to deal with the aforementioned problem... right pros? Any suggestions?

 

Also, (and I haven't asked my dealer yet) I've read that the non-Bose headunits can be reprogrammed at the dealers to a Bose deck... mainly to remedy the bass roll-off that occurs at mid-high volume with the non-Bose programming. Has anyone had experience with this procedure and verify that the bass roll-off and sound quality is even slightly improved? Thanks!

Regarding my first question/issue... I've figured it out! Peripheral PXGM24 gives me inputs for my mp3 player AND R.A.P. for my amp. Just $100...

 

The second issue (which is probably more relevant to this forum anyways) is still in the air...
