Fastest Speed Hit In Silverado

What is the fastest speed anybody here reached stock? I once made my Silverado hit 105 mph in its stock form. I want to get a tune to remove the speed limiter.

Yeah, I know there trucks. But it's also pretty cool making a truck reach really high speeds. I guess that's why they made the Silverado SS to compete with sport cars and to race.

I think the highest I've seen most folks say they've hit on here is in the 120s.

 

I've done 141 before I shut it down.

I have been in the 120's with mine with the stock 305., don't know with the new motor, still in break-in mode.

Fastest for me has been 98 or 99 as it keeps hitting the limter

You better buy some "V" rated tires if you plan on living long.

137-139 according to the friends T/A, And trust me. I'll NEVER Do that again. my front end was trying to float by 130 and it didn't get any better. All i accomplished was destroying a good set of tires and an almost equally expensive tank of gas. But it was kinda fun

100mph thanks to the speed limiter. Screw going any faster, the front end is way too touchy.

I had the HD on the floor @ 125. It was *VERY* loose, and the mud terrains were about to fall apart.

 

It wasn't the safest thing to do but it was an emergency. I had just gotten hit by a truck about an hour before on an ATV (speeding truck on the atv trails with the driver of the truck drunk). Effed me up bad. I managed to get back to the truck and burn assss to the hospital. By the time I got there I fell on the floor and went into shock. It never went that fast again as it only had a few hundred miles and a new Nelson tune.

I have been drag racing my mustangs for over 15 years so I am not afraid to go fast - but with my Westers tune on my 02 HD - it actually scary fast....too fast for a Truck with big ol tires on it.

 

I stuff it to the floor getting on to the highway and I hit 100 before I even know it.

 

The tuners really know how to wake up the 6.0l.

The SS Silverado isn't really a good example of that considering it's just a VortecMax Silverado with a different suspension and a bunch of upgraded trim. It's just a faster work truck. The TBSS would be more approppriate since that's the go fast Chevy truck.
