Bed Protection, not spray on, not a liner

I have a show truck that has a polished out black bed. It's never had anything in it & it's perfect.

I want to use it occasionally to put stuff from the hardware store, plants etc.

I don't want a permanent spray on liner, because it would ruin the look.

A plastic bed liner would rub the paint.

 

I was thinking about having a soft rug custom fit "upside down" for bottom and sides.

 

Any suggestions?

The upsidedown rug idea sounds like a good idea but you could

have some problem with the stuff you are carrying sliding around.

 

Maybe a piece of the hard foam padding that goes under an inlaid

carpet would work better?

a "bed rug" would be perfect for you.

I have the bed rug in my SS . Closed cell foam on the uderside of the carpet won't scratch your paint but will protect

I've had one since I purchased my truck NEW in 02 and the bed is still MINT

 

There a little pricey @ $450 but worth the investment, Look online and perhaps you can find it cheaper
