with alternator and battery as the only repairs other than regular service. The truck runs fine and I haven't even changed the plugs and wires, and I purchased the truck at 14K. I either got lucky or took good care, probably a little of both. I'm not bragging, don't want to jinx it, just proud. I think I'm oing to check out a new '07 this weekend, sharp trucks.

I just bought my 01 Sierra with 111,000 miles with the expectation that it'll do 200,000 easy.

Run's like a new truck. The last truck I had was an 1980 K5 Blazer. It burned more oil than gas and at the time couldn't afford to keep it. So, it was traded in for something more economical.

My '01 Sierra just hit 177k with no problems just regular maintenence

Bought it brand new in '01, looking into buying a new '07 new body style this summer

I like hearing these testimonies! I've got 108k on my 2000 and need to keep it a while longer! Just bought the wife a 2006 Highlander and am having my workshop garage built this summer! Won't be able to afford a new truck for a while.

That's great to hear!

I have 85K miles on mine, and I hoping it will reach the 200K mile mark without major issues.

And welcome to

I'm looking at used trucks right now, and 99% of what I'm looking at have over 100k on them. If my dad were alive he'd be shaking his head...But I aint skeered...I've driven a couple of my Chebbies over 200k and one over 300k with nary a rebuild on anything other than 2 transmissions (one was my fault (abuse), and the other...Well...I blame the HP:D)

Over 100k, and the only thing I'm thinking about is "what wheels will look good on it"...Not "how much does an engine rebuild cost?"

Besides my 05, I have owned few vehicles with under 100,k miles. I have owned several with over 200'k miles. On the west coast I knew many folks with vehicles with over 200'k miles. It's nice to see that these trucks can last this well. It is also a testament to your driving that in 210,k miles you have not wrecked it--no one will put money into a big body repair on a high milage truck, so I assume the body is in good shape.

Congrats on the 225,000 mile mark. I picked my truck up May 28, 2006 w/ 97,500 on the ticker and she's now got 115,000. I'm hoping to easily hit the 200,000 mile mark myself. A little maintenance goes a long way. Too many people these days are reactive and not proactive. They just do oil and when something goes wrong, they either fix or buy new.

You should be proud! You just acheived something that many of the new low quality cars cannot do. I would not be surprised if you could get to between 300k and 400k miles before you really have to start replacing everything. I drove a clients 02 2500HD SLT Sierra the other day that had 150k miles on it and I had to look down at the odometer twice to make sure it was right! Everything was still working, no idiot lights were on, it handled like it has 50k on it, the brakes worked and there was very little excess wear (besides the crappy "plether" drivers seat). And the best part for me was that the entire clear coat was still there! Something you would never see on any Dodge truck!

190k on my 2000. No problems!! really been good to me. Looked at the new 07, man that grill is tall!, but really can't think why I need

to switch. Think I'll get some new truck smell spray for spring.

I just bought my 2001 Silverado x-cab in January with 129,000 miles on it. It now has 135,000 on it and its as tight and crisp as a new truck. I feel certain that barring no accidents and regular scheduled maintennance I can see over 200,00 with this truck. I am an ex Ford man who has seen the light. I don't know how I lived 35years without a Chevy truck.
