Seen a New 2500HD

Today while driving to work at 6am passing a chevy dealer i noticed a funny looking pewter 2500HD.  Had to take a few looks at it.  After realizing it was a new 03 (it was early) It dawned on me that it actually looks a ton better than the 1500's.  I dont know why but it was parked next to an Av and it looked better.  Also looked like it sat up higher than the Z71 av.  I could get used to it.  I may go down and test drive it tomorrow.  Hopefully i wont fall over when i see the sticker on it.

is that a 4wd shaners?  It looked like it sat higher up and also the tires were more of an offroad type with a more aggressive tread.  It also didnt have the cab clearance lights (which i really like).  It was only an ext cab too.

This truck here is a 4x4 excab longbed Duramax Allison LS model.  It does not have the AllTerrain tires though...  Price was $42K+.

went and looked at it today.  No sticker price on it (probably a good thing for me).  Didnt look bad at all.  It sits up quite a bit higher than my truck (hmmm).  Tail lights are cool.  Everything else looks the same (rims, bed, sticker, interior minus the 4wd button and steering wheel/radio)

 

I dont like the 4wd buttons.  4 with an arrow up and 4 with an arrow down.  I know it is 4 hi and 4 low but some ^%$%^$^&$ wont.  

 

Also seen a 1500 there and didnt like it at all.  For some reason the 2500HD with flares looked much better

Sorry guy's but I saw the 03 Chevrolet HDs up close last week and IMO I just don't like them at all. I looked and looked and looked but I just can't get past that front clip. I do like the looks of the new leather seats. To each is own I guess. What I do really like a are the GMC's If these trucks look the same when I'm up for a new one I will definetly go that route.

I went and looked at the '03 silverados today. I love the new look. It looks more aggressive. There was a white '02 silverado 2500HD parked next to a white '03 silverado 2500HD. The '02 hood with the powerdome looks like it has to much hood on it. The '03 looks so much cooler. The '02's look old now. I'm sure everyone will get used to the new look sooner or later. I was hooked on the new style when i first saw pics from the '02 chicago auto show. I plan on buying a 1500HD or a 2500HD. I like how the 2500HD sits up higher but not sure on which to buy. Any comments would be appreciated.

have never ridden in a 1500HD but once owned a '99 Z71 which road extremely well...when shopping for a new truck I test drove several 2500's and found then all to have an extremely harsh ride (as compaired to a 1500) .... found harsh ride is due to 2 stage springs ... ended up with a 3500 which certainly won't ride as smoothly as a 1500 but with 3 stage springs is far superior to the 2500

Same way here.  I tried really hard to find something about the exterior changes that I liked, but it was no use.  Those trucks are butt a$$ ugly no matter how you look at them.

I have to agree with others... The new Chevy front-end is the look only a mother could love.  I think it is pretty awful.

 

The new GMC is pretty good though.
