Alarm without Key Fob

Just recently bought a 2000 silverado came with an aftermarket starter that locks/unlocks doors, it did not come with the GM key fob my problem is the lock feature on the remote does not work is there any way to activate the alarm without using the lock button on the key fob?

Your truck may not even have a 'real' alarm system.
