AWD conversion to 4x4

Hello Everyone! First timer here!

 

I traded in my 1999 Yukon (Which I loved) for a 2004 GMC Yukon AWD with the Autoride system. I also love this truck but I hate the AWD system.

 

My question is... Is there an ability to switch the AWD system to the normal 2 wheel drive/4x4 system? Where I will have the ability to switch from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive high or low. Right now I have AWD and 4 low, which is ok for everyday driving but I hate it for snow conditions or off road.

 

Would it be as simple as just changing the switch on the dashboard or would it also take swaping the Transfer case and the computer? Are there any parts that are interchangeable between the 2 systems?

 

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

You should be able to swap most of the parts from any gm 4x4 fullsize, and you might have to change the front diff gears.
