Ordering A Truck

I was told by my local dealer that when ordering a vehicle your incentives are when you take delivery of the vehicle, is this true? I have heard of some dealerships offering the incentives of when you ordered the vehicle or you can take the incentives when you take delivery. I was looking at the new Sierra Denali but I don't belive that I will find the one I want before the current incentives end on 04/03/07.

Thanks,

Usually, you get whatever incentives are valid on the day of physical delivery, BUT a lot of dealers will also gladly do it as soon as they get a complete invoice with vin, completing the sale as far as the paperwork is concerned, and you get the incentives then. In a best case scenario, once your dealer gets the vin'd invoice, they could do all the paperwork for you with the current incentives then and IF things change or improve for the better when actual physical delivery comes around, they just re-write things. All pretty common.

Can't take incentives earlier in the order, before a vin'd invoice exists, however.

Like caddycruiser said,They must have the VIN to do the paperwork.

I just ordered a new Sierra Denali and was told the same thing. Just hope something is available when it arrives. If not at least I got the Denali for 500 under invoice.

This is exactly what my dealer promised. They priced the truck and will tack on whatever incentives are available when delivered. Mine was supposed to be built today and the dealer is looking to deliver before the end of the month so we will see what happens. Not going to worry about incentives. Seems like every time I turn on the TV there is a better deal.
