Removing Factory Radio On New Silverado

Recommended Posts

So I have done car audio installs before. However on my new truck, I cant figure out how to remove the factory stereo.

I already have my AVIC-Z2 and the mounting kit for it, but I don't see a way to remove this radio. And ideas where to find documentation for this?

Check out the video on this page. It details the installation of a GM lockpick, but the procedure should be the same for you.

Has anyone installed one of the GM lockpicks? Good - bad - worth the $300.00?

Ever get this in? I'd love to get your input and maybe some pictures/video if possible.

Does it work with the factory steering wheel controls? Did you get the Pioneer Bluetooth adapter as well?
