Bad Sensor?

Greetings,

I replaced the washer pump on my 2001 Silverado last week. Since then, the "Low Washer Fluid" message pops up about 10 seconds after each start up and stays on for about 5 seconds. The reservoir was refilled with fluid when I put the new pump in. Any ideas?

Thanks,

OK, no ideas on the sensor. My theory is that I may have damaged a the lead wires in the harness while removing the tank. Can anyone tell me what the voltage across the lead pins should be?

Thanks,

Are you saying after it's on for 5 seconds, it then goes out?

And it stays out until you start the truck again, then the 10 seconds.... on for 5 seconds.... off again??

Upon startup, the engine runs for about 30 seconds and the "Low Washer Fluid" message comes on. It stays on for another 30 seconds or so then goes off until the next startup. This all happened after I removed the tank to replace the washer pump.

Thank you for the respons.
