I just ordered a Bullet muffler from Jegs yesterday and it shipped today. If it gets here by either Monday or Tuesday, I'll hopefully have it on by Friday. I'm taking it to a local exhaust shop to get it installed, but I don't know how I want it done. I'm definitely sticking to single 3" piping, but I haven't decided if I want to run it out behind the right wheel or just dump it underneath the bed. I've heard that running it out behind the wheels will make it quieter, but I'm worried about droning if I dump it. What do think would sound best? Also, if I get a tip, would chrome be fine or should I go for stainless? Rust really isn't much of a problem here.

Hey Chestah, can I ask you a few questions? Do you have it dumped before or after the axle? Is there any droning inside the cab?

BTW, I'm leaning towards just dumping it right behind the axle.

Ive got a dynomax turbo mufffler right into a dual tip behind my passenger tire, It sounds pretty sweet!! Theres a little bit of drone at lower speeds under 30 but it isnt bad at all.

I finally got it put on today. I decided to run it out behind the right wheel with a 4" tip. It sounds incredibly mean! It's not insanely loud, but I definitely won't be sneaking around anywhere. It's got a nice deep, mellow tone, and maybe a little rasp at >4k rpms. No droning at all! I'll post sound clips as soon as I can!
