Well i finally got a chance to do some "REAL" offroading in my truck.. For a first timer like myself all i can say is I WANT MORE!!

 

The truck drove perfectly and i know impressed a guy who has been offroading for 20+ years because he said he had never seen a stock truck of that size handle the trails like that before...

Doh! Didnt make it up the 1st time -- After 4 times i finally got up there.. Only reason is it was soft sand and a steep slope

I decided to go back and go on the side of the hill instead

Tom - Ya i got to have a little more fun than he did just cause of clearance problems..  He sat a little lower than i did so he couldnt go playing through some of the mud holes that i got to go through..  We had to cut the day short cause the 4x4 went in his truck.. He had to replace something near the front drive shaft that was disabling the hubs from working..

 

Ryan - Hey if your up for the drive i ll be tour guide ;)  

 

I m gonna find some good marks on my truck cause there were some times where it got pretty tight.. There were a lot of fallen trees so we spend a lot of time cleaning up the trail before we went though cause i didnt feel like having big tree branches going through the side of my truck  :sneek:

You got a short bed, you can go anywhere!  If you see the places I manage to get our ext. cab longbed through (even hooked up to a GN trailer) you'd realize you can breeze through just about anywhere!

Hey those are some great photos.  I like the way you can se the suspension working in the first picture.  Did you get alot of mud up in the engine compartment and if so how'd you clean it out?

Wow, now those pics look great.  I say we have the gm-trucks meeting up there and go thrashing through the mud.  You definetly got a lot more mud than that bronco II.  Pssst, some one left a cup on the other guys hood.

The custom "brown out" headlight covers that you have are awesome.  So how long are you going to leave that on there before you break out the pressure washer.

Steve, check out my reader's rigs section, I had to update your pic.  The mud shots are a lot better than those crummy clean ones you gave me before.  I wanted to use the first one, but when I re-sized it, it got really distorted.  If you've got a better one that you want me to use, send it my way.

Try to keep it around 360x270 pixels.  I like the smaller pics so that it will fit in a frame on 800x600 resolution w/o having to scroll over.  I liked the last pic you posted of the aftermath, but there's that dang ford in it.  A good action shot would work as well.

I had one more pic to show everyone.. This pic was taken at the top of the hill we were climbing.. The bronco had rolled back down at his 1st attempt and i was rounding around for my first..
