Our farm truck

This is our truck that we use on our farm. Same one as listed on the sig below.

First pic here is of it, you can see my Blazer peeking out from behind, but it doesn't deserve its own picture here.

This one shows what a truck goes through here. It is loaded up with seed soybeans. Each bag weighs 50 pounds, and in this pic I only had 20 bags loaded. Most of the time we have anywhere from 35-45 bags on.

This last one is me showing the city slickers how to move out of college. That is my dad sitting on the tailgate waiting for me. Everyone else was trying to stuff their belongings into cars or small SUVs, all the while carrying their stuff the whole way. We backed in our truck and unloaded that cart and were done in about ten minutes. Funny how much crap I accumulated in one year, the 8ft box was completely full.

thanks, I can see the pics now...sure you saw one or two people at school trying to shove their stuff in one of those VW bugs they thought were so handy and cute when they got em!!! Seems eveyone of my daughters friends has a vehicle like that...

Thats a really good looking truck! Especially that DMI bumper hitch. What all equipment did you get on it?

This was one of the last Classic style trucks made, and since it was the only one anywhere in the area we took it. Got quite a deal on it. From the factory it came with the 5.7L motor, auto tranny, towing package, and 4.10 gears. Now if you look at the creature comforts this thing has, it surely isn't a farm truck. Cloth interior, CD/tape/radio, power everything, everything a guy needs to be comfortable.

We put on that DMI bumper (its on its third truck now), a turnover gooseneck hitch (second truck for it) and all the needed wiring, bedmat/tailgate protector, Ziebart running boards, and a toolbox from TSC that is the perfect size, smallest one we could find.

Oh yeah, on a side note the white bumper sticker is one that I found a few years back. Fits a farm truck perfect.

One of my father's Friend/co-farmer bought a new 2000 K2500 ext-shortbed 4x4 with a 350/4l80e/373ls at the end of the 2000model year, he got it at invoice, and 5k in rebates. He got it for almost what his old 98 was worth. This was his third. He had a 95,98,2000 all identical to a "t". They are equipped almost identical to his. He told me that he doesn't get the mileage that his 98 did with this 2000. Gm sold the crap out of those trucks because of the rebates.
