2007 Nbs Aftermarket Stereo

Have my new nbs finally!!!!! And within 25 mins of picking it up, had my stereo guy tearing it apart, kinda frustrating, not being able to drive it, but it was well worth it, the stereo sounds awesome, if anybody is thinking of putting a sub into the nbs ltz models, go with the jl audio stealthbox, it kicks some ass. my installer did an amazing job!

Yeah...i cringe at the markup on the JL stuff. Don't get me wrong, it is a great setup, but more could of been had with less money...also intall it yourself!!!!!

does your onstar setup still work? ... i am still trying to figure out how to add aftermarket amps to mine ... and it still work ...

i have 2008 ltz and i would like to ditch the system and start over

yes, its all gone, once you see the factory stuff, you will understand how s**tty it is, not bad for factory but its not good enough for me. yes the onstar stuff still works, its on an auxillary output on my deck. i have full use of the steering whell controls. it sounds awesome, not overly boom boom rap loud, but its very clear and great sounding. i would upload pics, but i dont know how! email me at [email protected], and i can send you pics if you want.

I'm curious to know how the JL Audio Stealthbox comapres to the factory Bose sub. I've got the Bose system (w/sub) and am not impressed at all. It sounds great for a factory system, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't sound near as good as a well built aftermarket system.

I've already purchased the JL Stealthbox and will be installing it in a few weeks. I figured I would give it a try before putting in a bigger box under the rear seats (ext. cab). Just wondering if you think that the JL will be enough.

It sounds great to me, but i dont want to have ear shattering thumping anyways, no rap crap in my truck. the bose sub is such a piece of crap, its a lil 6 inch paper sub, i hope you will be impressed with yours as much as i am with mine. good luck, i have pics that i can send if you want.

I'm not into the gangsta bass either so that makes me feel better about forking over the $550 for the JL box. Thanks for offering to send pics, but I've already got the sub sitting in the garage. I've got this huge pile of stuff waiting to be installed over Christmas vacation. You guys seem to like pics so I'll be sure to document the process and post them here. Thanks, -Brad.
