06 Crew Cab Noises

First off, I absolutely adore my 06 Silverado Crew Cab. The only things I dislike about the truck are the rather small noises I hear from the rear doors on my crew; sounds like a creak or groan when I am going over bad roads or backing out of a driveway. Anybody else with a crew cab truck hear anything from there rear doors? It's not a big issue, actually really small just wanted to see if this was common. And the other thing that droves me about mad is that when I have someone riding with me in the passenger seat it squeaks like crazy on acceleration and deceleration. Anybody with this annoyance? Thanks guys, this board is great.

Nobody else has noisy rear doors on their crew cab or squeaky seats? The noise that comes from the doors isn't very pronounced and I can live with it, but the noise from my passenger seat is somewhat high pitched and drives me nuts. Please help

Sorry, mine is quiet. The only noise I have is above the passenger side windshield at 75 mph and above. I'm told it is because of my bug shield. I seldom run that speed, so it is a non-issue.

My creaks and groans come from the front passenger door & pillars and something under the dash squeaks along with those. Usually this only takes a very slightly unlevel surface. I figure it is pretty much inevitable with such a long frame on a crew cab 1500. Since this is the only thing I've noticed in 5k miles, I'm not complaining yet.

My only groans come from my wife when she's sitting in the front seat and the other noises come from the toys ratteling around on the back seat. Other than that it is quiet.

Mine's quiet too. But now that you've said something about it, I may notice it. I didn't notice the transmission clunking until after I'd purchased the truck and read about it on here. :D

'06 Sierra CC and no noises like that, at least not yet. My drivers window rattles a bit if it's down part way and my brakes squeak occasionaly.

You could hunt down the noises and apply a little lithium grease. I always keep the door hinges greased so maybe that's way mine is not making noise.

In the last month, I noticed that my passenger seat makes noise when someone is sitting in it. It is very annoying.

My back doors are pretty quiet, but there is some noise when the body flexes on uneven ground.

My '06 crew cab occassionally makes some subtle creaking noises when I drive over uneven terrain at low speed, but it appears that this is coming in from behind the cab area, maybe even the bed mounts. I have not been able to figure out where is the noise coming from. Other than that, no noises in the cab.

Thanks for the responses guys

My 04 is quiet as a church mouse now that the steering shaft has finally been fixed.

Yep, lots of noises. :D Both front passenger and driver seat making squeaking noises when you lean back in them. The dealer has replaced the frame on the driver side and readjusted them many times. After they "adjust" the seats, its quiet for a few days, then it returns.

There is a popping noise coming from the rear driver side door. Typically when making turns (chassis flex).

Then there is the even louder popping noise coming from both the driver side C pillar and from underneath the vehicle. This normally occurs when I've got a couple ppl riding in the truck.

And there is an intermittent "rattling" noise from behind the dash, towards the top. Just tap on it, and you can recreate it. They "fixed" it before (something was apparently loose), and it came back.

Also another intermittent clicking/rattling type noise from underneath the dash, driver side. Never could recreate it at the dealer.

Both rear side doors making squeaking noises when passengers lean against them.

Oh, and when the front passenger gets up from the seat, it makes a pop noise. It looks like the bottom spring portion is getting stuck on the seat frame.

And these are just the noises they haven't been able to fix... there have been plenty other noises in the past few months that they have addressed with multiple visits. But since they've become more frequent, it'll be going back in to the dealer next Monday.

My fathers 06 GMC Sierra 2500HD CC SB has the seat squeak and it drives me nuts when I ride in the passenger seat. Everytime stop and go it squeaks. Not sure if the drivers seat does it, as I never got to drive it.
