07/08 Tahoe

I am starting to look for a new vehicle. I am kinda set on a Tahoe, 2wd Flex Fuel, Locking Rear & Gold Mist metallic Color. Few things are other options would like feedback from current tahoe owners on the following

 

1. LS VS LT1

2. Buckets vs Bench Front seat - I like the buckets in my 00 Silverado

3. Sunroof

4. 3rd row seats (do you use them?)

5. Any other must get options (I dont want to overload the truck I would like to keep it simple dont need the upgraded speakers, radio, nav, 20" wheels etc.

I can only answer the third row question as my mom has an 01 Tahoe. She doesn't use the third row very much as I'm in college and my brother is a junior in hs so she doesn't haul our friends or us around too much. Having said that, the third row has come in handy a few times a year and it is nice to have them then. Other than that, they sit in the garage for most of the time. If I were you, I'd get the third row since they are so easy to lift and take out. You can always store them or leave them folded up in the back so that you have plenty of storage space. Hopefully someone can answer your other questions.

I sell these all day long and I will tell you this...

 

Get an LT1, It will be hard to find either model with sunroof you may have to special order, get the CD changer unless you are a Ipod junkie and can use the AUX jack but get the BOSE it's only $500, even if you don't use the 3rd row get it because if you don't there might be the one time you needed it and won't have and more so if you don't have it, it's 100 times harder to sell when you trade it. You CAN NOT add the rear seats later.

 

Just FYI, if you are ok with leather you really want to get a 2LT.

No leather. My impala has it and I HATE IT.

 

Doubt ill get the sunroof you have to add to many things (dual climate, homelink, ect.)

Well I test drove one today.

 

It drove nice very firm and no cab noise (rattles etc). I was impressed. I like the buckets so it looks like I would go with the LT1 model. I did not really like the wood (plastic haha) on the dash. Can this be replaced? My impala has it and its ok.

 

Sunroof - Decided I dont really need. I dont see a need for 2K (you have to get homelink, the air option, and sunroof) in options and there was plenty of head room.

 

This one also had third row wasnt bad I would definitely put it down though it seemed to obstruct the view out of the back window a little (Head rests on 3rd row).

 

I really like my truck but I have to say this thing (even thought I only drove it 5 miles) drove like a dream. I would give it a 9 out of 10

 

We will see how things go

 

Now I gotta think about accessories hehe (Tint, Bull Bar, Floor Mats)
