I have a buddy who wants me to go turkey hunting at their rental ranch up in the Black Hills. I think I shall have to go because goose season ends in a little over a week.

Fishing season is getting closer though!

If this stupid Colorado weather will cooperate, that is! :angry: :plainsmile:

I don't know if you should go......Pretty soon, you will find yourself covered head to toe in camo, waking up at 3 am, and driving around in your truck practicing to cluck on a diaphragm call. Turkey hunting is far worse than crack!!!!

I think turkey hunting would be cool BECAUSE of the camo! ;)

I think that is part of the fun of hunting/fishing. Getting all of the toys that go with the different types.

Man, they act like marketing for kids is so easy. I am way worse than my 2 kids when it comes to seeing something and saying, " I want that, and that, and that."

I would probably start out with one of those box calls for the turkey. I went to the Turkey Federation banquets last year and even though I was sick as a dog, it was still fun!

All of your turkey are belong to Phord is what paco would tell the hunters.........

I can't wait for the season to start. I have 3 different chunks of private property to hunt, plus a tip on some public land right above a private ranch, that is feeding 75 birds all winter. I shouldn't have any problem putting a couple of birds in the freezer this year. My Silverado has yet to haul any wild game, it's due!
