I have 16,500 miles on the junk stock tires and the bands are coming thru some of the tread. The tires seem to be falling apart.

if you have a new truck you already have TPMS built in,

so the light will come on?

I removed that annoying yellow light. I'm not spending good money to put those valves in the new rims. I don't need that TPMS crap and don't want it.

Plus I have a buddy that said he can shut that off thru some tech 2 system his shop has.

As long as your buddy can shut it off with a tech 2 thats cool, but it will put up service tire monitor each time you start the truck...if he can't....you can also take the valves and put them in the new rims....as long as the rims are the same size as stock...thats what I did with mine and they have provided no trouble yet...

You know I thought the same thing that the serivce light will come on, but me and my dad put new wheels and tires and his C6 and bought new sensors to put in them, and they weren't even programmed to the car and no light came on. The tire pressure reading wasn't correct. But still no light. Atleast with the GM trucks they are universal sensors and do not require programming afterwards.

I rode around with the spare on for a month, which has no sensor, and the service soon light never came on. Just amber tire light.

Dude that is nice. Where did you get this done? And why didn't you get it color matched (not trying to be smart A)?

Rhino Linings of Acadiana

Installing an ARE CX camper shell on it this week and I didn't figured the liner black would bother me much since it wouldn't be seen but my me when I open the rear up.

It's in Lafayette Louisiana and I didn't ask about the color match price difference from the black.
