Now that more of us are getting the 900 trucks, I was wondering if anyone would be able to take some photos to show the location of the basic areas that would be addressed for a routine service such as an oil change and lube. Can someone photograph the zerk locations? I know we had a link on the 800's for that, and it'd be nice to know where to look before Haynes or similar come out with a basic repair manual. Thanks.

You got rain??? We haven't had but a drop all summer. If that's a problem for you, please send it our way we'd love to have it. My understanding is that the only zerks are on the lower ball joint, can anyone verify that for me?? I too am interested in knowing the facts on the grease.

Thanks!

Ditto here. I'm looking to do first oil change and lube this weekend, so if anyone has list of zerks on NBS trucks it would be much appreciated!

I don't think we even got zerks on the LBJ's. One of those lubed-for-life deals (which probably won't be very long).

Yep,No zerks on the lower ball joints,The only zerks are on the outer tie rod ends,Just those two, thats it.

When I went to rotate my tires for the first time I was all ready to grease the ball joints,I was suprised there wasn't any fittings,I didn't even know GM went back to the "lubed-for-life" chassis like they tried in '88 on the GMT400 trucks,That didn't last too long,I remember the recalls on that issue where the they replaced all the ball joints with greasable ones.

My Colorado had no grease points up front that I could find. I have only had my new truck for a week, so I haven't been under it yet.

Only 2 grease fittings?!?

Although minor, I finally found a reason for being glad I bought an '06 instead of waiting a few months for the '07 NBS (other than the nice rebates that were being offered at the time of course).

Overall I'm still jealous of you guys with the NBS, especially those with the 6.0L.
