Truck Alarm

So with my new truck on the way I want to get an aftermarket alarm for it. I'm looking to get peoples opinions on which alarm would get me the best bang for my buck, also want to know if it's possible to be installed by myself or if it's worth getting a place such as BestBuy or FutureShop to do it for me?

If you got it, and this is just me, I would take it to a reputable shop that specializes in installing this and radios and such. This is doublefold if you plan on getting a remote start system along with it.

check around with your stereo / auto accy shops in your town that have been open 8 to 10 years .. and get a price ... also ask about their install warrenty, and warrenty against damage done during install ...

 

for something like an alarm, i would shy away from doing it yourself, less you have done several before ... i would also shy away from some of the bigger 'chain' stores .. on having them install it ... (mostly because of the fact that there is a high turnover rate for the installers, less you are lucky in your area)
