M/t Mtz And "new" Wheels

Recommended Posts

Last saturday I ordered a set of Dick Cepek FC-IIs, but the shop couldn't get them in anymore, so they gave me some Mickey Thompson MTZs for the same price. I also got a set of OEM alloy's off of ebay a couple of months ago. I love the way everything looks, now I just need to wash the truck.

It looks good. I always liked that OEM wheel style. I bet you hear those tires on the highway but you shouldn't get stuck anywhere.

I took them on the highway for the first time tonight, and they were suprisingly quiet. Obviously they make some noise, but I kind of like it, and it's not to noticeable if there's any music on.

But who cares? It looks COOL!

Are those 265's, or 285's?

They're 265/75R16. I was thinking about 285s, but I'd lose too much power, plus my fuel economy would just plain disappear.

Now you just need a lift. Personally i think you don't need anything that meaty unless you are off-roading alot, but hey they do look really good on there.

How much did you give for them, if you dont mind me asking?

I think before tax it was right around $800 for the set (free mounting/balancing).

I have those tires in 33x13.5. They are quite loud but i just turn the stereo up ;) Definitely a good time offroad - especially in the mud. Good in the snow too. They dont cake up like my BFG A/Ts used to. Guess thats the difference between an A/T and a M/T. But yeah, they look awesome.

Thats a little out of my price range.

But they sure look cool.
