Looking to see how much you paid for your 07/08 Sierra or Silverado Z71/4X4 Ext/Crew Cabs, what options package you went with, what color your truck is, and if you have the 5.3L/4.8/6.0 engine.

Thanks

just last week,07 Sierra SLT 4x4 5.3L

sticker $37114, paid $29500 minus $1500 in GM card credit

out the door for $28k.

I cannot see any way that a dealer is gonna let a 37k truck OTD for 28k. I call BS.

knew that was coming.

anytime you're in St Louis, you buy the beer, I'll bring the paperwork

I didn't even add that they gave me $6k trade in for a 98 Chevy Z71 with 192,000 on the clock.

So I'm in it for $22k, still have to pay TTL in MO, figure that to be about $1600.

It was too good a deal to let go.

see ya

So with everyone else claiming approx. 3500-4000 off, you're still claiming over 9k off, BS.

I found the truck I wanted on GM's site. Called the dealer and confirmed the truck was there and asked for a fax copy of the window sticker. I wrote up an offer and faxed it to them. They called back and counter offered. I declined. They called back again with another counter offer and I accepted. I went and signed the papers and picked up the truck that evening. :D

'07 Silverado, LT2 Crew Cab, Z71, 6.0 liter vmax, leather, LT2 convenience package, sunroof, 18" wheels and XM radio. Sticker $37,464, paid $29,418 on Sept 14th, $3500 rebate included. This is the final price with all fees, before sales tax. Mines not a 4x4, but I thought I would post another example similar to vetteman to show that the 07s can be bought that cheaply right now. Mine was built in Feb 07, so I think they just wanted to get rid of it. I'm sure they made some money on me even at that price or they wouldn't have sold it. No trade worked into the price, which sometimes they will use to play games to get the price of the vehicle down (by allowing less for the trade). I actually did trade a vehicle in, but I didn't mention it until after we had agreed on a final price for the 07, which is the way to go to get the best overall deal. Otherwise you don't know what you're paying for the new truck or what you're really getting for your trade. The only catch is that you have to be willing to walk away from the entire deal if they try to screw you on the trade value after you are a couple of hours into negotiation. It took three tries at three different dealers before I got one to take my trade for a fair price.

i can believe it. You just have to be willing to put a high enough down on it. They will take cash on hand over financing anyday. I know I would be willing to take 9k off if someone is putting 15k down. Also, they will make atleast 3k on the truck, so the dealership is only really "loseing" about 6k. And GM gives dealerships money for virtually every car they sell.

I didn't buy a 4x4, but I got $7,000 off sticker before a trade-in at the end of June.

Dealers are much more willing to sell when you're paying cash. I believe those savings on an 07 after the 08s have come out.

Edit: and the more loaded-up a truck is, the more they are willing to drop the price to move it.
