My First Chevy Truck

Recommended Posts

Well I am new to all this Chevy stuff. Just got rid of my 2003 10th Anniversary Torch Red Cobra to an 07 Crew cab Z71 Chevy. Its the NBS or GMT-900? I cant remember what I am supposed to call it. I heard a few people get upset if I say just NBS. This is my first Chevy. My two previous cars/truck was a 2000 Lightning with quite a few mods (put down 525RWHP and 535RWTQ on a mustang dyno) then onto a 2003 Cobra. But I am heading a different direction in my life. So far I LOVE this truck. The ride quality and looks is what sold me. I got a great deal I couldnt pass up. So far it is stock. I JUST bought a corsa sport catback (dual side tips). I only have a few things I want to get for it. But I have other priorities then spending all my money on a car/truck again. But just wanted to introduce myself. Hopefully I can learn a lot from this site. :ughdance::ughdance:

glad to see you finally woke up and bought a chevy :ughdance:

Not going to argue with you there as far as an everyday use truck goes, but if I was getting a truck for going fast I hate to tell ya I would go straight back to the Lightning in a sec!!! I miss that truck a LOT. But this trucks rides SOOOO nice and is very very comfortable.

Welcome guys, its always good to hear Ford guys converting to GM. You will love the truck and as far as performance mods, there are few out there; Exhaust, Intake, Tunes, etc etc.

Well I just bought a Corsa catback. But the intake will be soon. I cant decide between S and B or Volant. Then in a few months I am going to get the edge programmer.

Get the GMPP CAI, and don't wait to get the Edge, seriously, find $380 or go rob a bank if you have to. :) just get one now.

I will have to take a look at that intake. Never heard of it. Well saving for a house and my girl take most of my money so whenever I find that 380 it will def be going into a programmer.

Welcome!

Sold my 03 Cobra right after I bought the truck too.

I will def miss the power that thing had. I had a LOT of fun in that car but its time to move on for right now. But I will have a project car in the near future.
