2008 Horn Honk

When unlocking the door on the new 2008 Chevys, how do you keep the horn from honking like I'm stealing the vehicle? This is very frustrating!!!

if its locked on the outside them opened from the inside it will, and most likely will if locked on the inside & opened from the outside, just gotta make sure if its locked outside, open it from outside, and shouldn't have to lock it from inside shifting out of gear does that for you and unlocks when parked.

The manual covers it as I discovered the same issue. I know using the keyless will prevent the horn from going off. If you use the key, it'll start beeping, but then stop if you hit the power unlock button on the door.

Lock the doors manually and don't use the remote to lock the truck. Using the power lock switch and /or the remote to lock the truck sets the alarm. When you unlock using the key it senses a break in. I seem to remember you can turn the horn off in the DIC settings for "alarm response"...
