07 Nbs Skyjacker Leveling Kit

Wheew! I just got finished with the Skyjacker 2" leveling kit. Over the last few weekends I have installed a billet grill, Magnaflow exaust and a K&N Cold air Intake. All I have left to do is a Leer 800 series bed lid, rims and tires. I have been reading all the posts and reposts on rim offset and tire size with the leveling kits. I want to run DEJ Cannon 17 x 8.5 rims with a 305/65/17 ProComp Xtreme AT tire. I have recieved mixed replies. 4WP and discount tire tell me they wont fit. Tiremax and one person on this web site tell me they will fit. Does anyone know for sure? Any pics?

Truck looks good man. Your wheel/tire combo should fit. General consensus has been that with a leveling kit, you should be able to fit 33x12.5 tires with minor trimming. Your tire size would measure: 32.6x12 (check out this site: http://www.procomptires.com/conversionchart.htm ) Just be sure you check and recheck your wheel offset, etc.

I was able to fit 275/60/20 (33x11) on my Silverado with a 2.5" leveling kit and have PLENTY of room left over (no trimming.)

The tires are awesome. They do hum a bit, however that is to be expected with such an aggressive tire. Good luck and enjoy.

If you get an aggressive enough thread, you wont have to do any trimming...It sorts it's self out...LOL :banghead::loser:

seriously though....the NBS has much larger openings than my truck...I can fit 285's with a 2", so I have seen many others that have done it.

285/75/16 is roughly the same height as 305/65/17 so I don't see an issue except the back spacing like was said. Just make sure its good and you'll be golden.

Don't worry about some people telling you they wont fit...some think that the only tires that fit are the ones listed on the door jam. Now if a bunch of people tell you they wont fit and can back it up with proof thats a different story.

Does anyone happen to know the wheel specifications off of the 18" wheel on the NBS 2007 Silverado? Also, does lifting the front end with 2-2.5" kits change the back spacing requirement?

I just ordered the Superlift 2.5" leveling kit and it says that you can fit 33x12.5, but that's with 5.5 spacing. I want to put on a Toyo M/T 275/70/18 with the 18" stock wheel, any help?

18x?

6 on 5.5 or 139mm?

Backspacing?

Leveling kit will not change back spacing. The stock wheel should work fine. The tire you mentioned is a 33.2" tall, 10.8" wide tire. You may need to do some trimmingbut I really doubt it.

Let me know how it works out. I was looking at getting the same rims. I have a 2" leveling kit up front on a NNBS as well. I was thinking of going to a 285/70/17 and that's what the kit said they would work with. Normally I run whatever comes from the factory and cheap tires but this truck got retired from the work world pretty early so.....

Ok I had Tiremax order Mickey Thompson ATZ Radials in a 305/65/17 and 285/70/17 and a set of American Racing Assault(chrome) Wheelswith the 5.5" of backspacing. We are going to do this on Friday and just see if the 305's will fit. I let ya know how it turns out!!!!

Let us know how those 305/65/17 tires are working out for you.

I ended up ordering 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic Lock wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 33x12.5x17 tires to go with my Superlift 2.5" coilover replacements. It may be a week before my wheels and tires are in.

Anxious to know how a similar tire size is working out for you.

Sorry guys, I had to go to a funeral out of state. Here are the pics of the 17x8 American Racing Assault with Mickey Thompson ATZ 305/65/17. The tires fit perfectly. NO TRIMMING and plenty of room!
