New Duramax Burned Fuel Smell

My new truck a silverado 3500HD new body style dually ext.cab, every time goes into his anti-pollution cycle to burn particles, smells like fuel not burn properly and this smell gets inside the cab AC/heating system. The odor is so strong ( affects your eyes and lungs) that I have to stop, get outside and let the cycle finish. It last about 15 minutes. After that, everything is fine till the next cycle.

 

Is this a normal condition ? the truck being new is the condition will eventually go away.

I have a 2008 Gmc Sierra 2500 HD and am having the same problem.... I took it to the dealer and they smelled the noxious odor also. They told me to " turn the recycle air button on". That is not a fix. They cannot fix it.. I have over 5k on the truck and it is not getting better... Any advice would be appreciated.
