Toogle Switch

I just bought a used 2006 Crewcab Duramax. Just left of the emergency brake cable release, there is a toggle switch on a little steel plate. Just wondering if it was something the previous owner had there for something or if we all have it. Thanks

I'm guessing the truck was chipped. The toggle switch would allow the driver to change the settings from the cab. My Edge E-Z chip has three settings and a three position toggle switch to change between the settings...

They run straight up into the dash. hard to follow but i'll figure it out someday.

Thanks, but I must admit I saw something like it on a TV commercial once... so I can't take the total credit here.

Silly question but does it DO anything when you flip it?

I've seen valet switches for aftermarket alarms set up like that. Look for a siren hidden under hood somewhere. Sometimes installers are pretty good at hiding them. It's possible the previous owner had an alarm and just didn't provide the seller with the remotes.
