Afe Intake...any Issues?

Looking at picking up an AFE intake right away. I've never used the dry filter type before. Any known issues with them?

 

I was going to go K&N but the metal tubing turned me off. Metal tube on a cold air intake is a joke IMO. As soon as the truck gets hot it will heat up the tube.

I got K&N intake and not the one with the metal tube, but the black composite one. That part number was 63-3050.

I have been looking around at cool air filters and they want an arm and a leg for them I found one on Ebay for $50 and it is made for 07 nbs I called and asked them about it. I am going to get one ASAP I am not going to pay $200 for a name brand.

ive got the afe but i made my own intake tube . as for problems no problems here and have had it on for 15k miles .
