Anyone know the difference between the standard truck battery and the optional truck battery?

 

Anyone have the optional truck battery? If so, what are the numbers on it?

The standard battery (48-6YR) is 600 CCA,The optional H.D. battery (48-7YR) is 730 CCA.

Also the H.D. Battery is an "SEO" option...RPO code "6C5"

This is what is on the battery:

 

Number 7641

 

CCA: 615

 

Capacity (I think as printing is very small): 70Ah

 

Load Test: 308

 

and: 48-6YR

 

My question to anyone who can answer this is: Do I have the standard battery or optional battery?

The info you gave matches up most closely with the standard battery.

You have the standard battery.

The GM order guide says the standard battery is 600 CCA,but mine is like yours and is 615 CCA. Obviously a mistake in the book.

When I ordered my truck I tried ordering the H.D. 730 CCA battery but it was on restriction,So I couldn't get it.

unit,Check your RPO codes for "6C5",As I said before thats the code for the HD battery.
