but seems like iv seen trucks with leveling kits that sit lower..

you either raise the front to match the back (lift kit) or you drop the rear to match the front (drop kit), the real question is do you want your truck sitting higher than stock or lower than stock. you can raise the rear and/or the front for a taller truck or drop the front and rear for a really low ride. Leveling can be done either way.

It levels the front end of the truck (Lifts it up) to be even with the rear of the truck.

(Since these trucks tend to sit lower in the front than in the rear)

It will also allow you to add a little larger tire since it won't have the tendacy to "rub" the bumper or rear of the fenders.

measure from the wheel well to the center of the rim and from the wheel well to the ground, normally I have seen a 3"-4" difference between the front and rear on an stock truck.

I see, so lemme get this stright. inorder to "level a truck" u apply the leveling kit to just the front end or the back?

The front end on mine is 1.625" lower in the front compared to the back.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Generally, one would raise the front of a 4WD to make it level or lower the rear on a rear-wheel-drive. I have a RWD and decided to lower the bed for easier access. I used drop shackles on the rear springs (very economical at about $55) to lower my bed 2". The rear is still an inch or a little better higher than the front and doesn't look that much different than the stock rake. I lost a little spring range but I normally don't haul heavy loads. If one has a 4WD, leveling would ordinarily take the Tim Allen approach and raise to a more manly look.

I, however am at ease with my sexuality and don't feel the need to make any macho statements with my truck height.

Well I guess you've forced this to be the official public admission. I freely admit: Yes, I am a flaming heterosexual.
