Grille Guard

Found a good deal on a westin sportsman grille guard but its made for a 2500 LD or the 1500 HD and I have a 1500 LD, what i want to know is will it fit?

If memory serves me correctly, there is a difference in the overall shape of the 1500LD and the 1500HD, which means that it may look funny and rub on the front, the 1500HD and 2500HD did have bigger grilles, so I would assume (without any measurements) that the guard would look too big on the front end of your truck.

I bought one awhile back for my 1500LD and it came with the brackets for both mine and the HD. The difference in mine was the HD brackets stuck out farther on my truck because the HD's have a longer nose. I don't know why I got both brackets as I ordered specifically for a LD. I am thinking that guard itself is for a HD because it is higher than my hood when installed. I had another guard on my Trailblazer and it doesn't extend above the hood like my Silverado does.
