Wheel House Liner (again)

I went to parts counter of GMC dealer.

I printed out a picture of the rear wheel liners. Guy didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Even with the picture. I did explain and he finally understood. Yes, I should have actually brought the part number with me.

So he comes up with part numbers:

25795061 and 25795062

Now reading all the threads about Wheel House Liners GMT900 GMC 2008, I see that the part number I need is 19166677

I have no idea what my local GMC parts department is talking about with numbers 25795061 and 25795062. Anyone have any idea what my local GMC parts department is talking about?

Those part numbers are the actual "metal" wheelhouse panels that go between the inner and outer bedsides.

Tell your dealer to go to group 21.159B...which is the accessory group,under... "liner package-wheel accent ring" and he'll find them.

Or find another dealer that knows what there doing!!

Unit731, as you know, the correct part number is 19166677. When I took my truck to work the day I got it, my brother immediately came out and commented how odd the rear wheel wells looked without any liners. He said, "d**n, bro, it looks naked". After a good laugh, it dawned on me that he was right and GM should have put them in this and every truck. Either way, I found this site, which then pointed me in the direction of GMPartsDirect.com. I placed my order and they came in very quickly. Just so you know, that part number gives you the two liners (Right Hand and Left Hand), 6 large plastic wheel lip rivets (3 for each side), and 8 self-tapping screws (4 for each side). The liners pop right in, as do the plastic rivets. I used a screw gun to install the 8 self-tapping screws. The aesthetic difference is night and day. The truck looks "finished" and, as my brother so eloquently put it, "hey, bro, it's not naked anymore".

Hey Sniper would you be able to post some pics of them installed for us? I really want to see what they look like on the truck.

Thanks in advance.

I'd be happy to. I'll try to snap a daytime pic tomorrow and post it.

I just installed mine this weekend. Below are some pics. The red arrows show the three rivets and and the blue circles shows the screws. I highly recommend taking your tires/wheels off. The bottom screw on each side will be much easier and you don't have to fold your liner to stuff it in the wheel well. The look really good. Completes the truck IMO. Sorry the pictures are kind of nasty but we have had some weather.

I was very happy with the outcome but I am a little irritated that this doesn't come from the factory like this. I have always thought the rear wells were "naked". I love my truck and every truck and SUV I have had from GM but they should pay attention to these types of details from front to back and top to bottom. They did such an awesome job with the NBS but there are just a few things like these liners they should have finished out. They are just plastic. I bet they have $5.00 in each one. If that much. It wouldn't have cost them anything to include this in the upper trim packages. Sorry for the rant. I still think they are a great add-on.
