Upgrading Tires Soon To Match Leveling Kit On Nnbs!

Well I will be upgrading soon. Last week we got a dusting of snow, so I took the truck for a spin and noticed the stock goodyear at/s were not that good. So I was looking around for prices on tires and yesterday I looked on craigslist and found a set of 285/70/17 bfg at ko with 5000 miles on them for $400. I pick them up monday. I am mounting them with the white letters out on the stock rims. It will make the truck look better and handle better too!! On all of my trucks I had BFG AT on them. But on this truck I didn't want to spend $850-900 on tires but $400 for a close to new I didn't have to think. Should have them on this week if not the next for sure.

 

If anyone has this set up on a NNBS with a leveling kit please post pics.

Thanks, mine will look close to yours but I will have the stock rims with chrome lug nut caps and I have a crew cab. Also after this picture I add some chrome nerfbars.

I am still searching for the right wheels that will look good but hold up to some light to moderate off roading. I either see wheels that are all show or all business. It's hard to find just the right mix.

Rough Country 2" kit. Was easy to install and is cheap too!

You do realize that in snow, wider tires get worse traction, right? That's why most LT snow tires are 235 or less... Just a thought. However, in all other road conditions, wider tires will handle better and get more traction.

Ordered a leveling kit from RC just a few mins ago I thought all THE NBS Z71's came with 18 inch wheels ? My Silverado has 18's , or do the GMC's come with 17's and the Chevys come with 18's ?

Standard wheel size on the Z-71 is 17". If you order the Z-71 you get the "option" to upgrade to Z-71 only 18" wheels.
