CGINSTRUCTOR Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I read through some of the post and didn't really answer my question. I looked at the Muth mirror install, but was a little thrown by the price. I saw some signal mirrors on eBay off of 07 models GMC's would they bolt right in to my truck? I have heated power w/no signal. Would the heated power w/ turn signal work on my truck???
Ranger Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 If you're talking about the power fold mirrors with turn signals, then no, it would not be a plug-n-play operation cause the DL3 mirrors have a door module of some sort and the DL8s/DPN (camper) don't.

I purchased mirrors off of ebay with the turn signals and they had courtesy lamps on the bottom of the mirror. The Tahoe, Avalanche, Suburban mirrors will all fit. I am pretty sure GMC products are the same. It is plug and play for the signal to work, but you will not have a plug for the courtesy lamp plug. I am still researching this. This is for the power adjusting heated mirrors, not the power retractable/folding type.
pm26 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I am not sure about the 900 series, but my '06 with signal mirrors also has a separate switch on the door armrest for the mirror folding feature. I have folded the mirrors no more than two times in two years just to see if they work. Not something you would use often, unless you use a commercial carwash a lot or park in very tight spots.

I would think to get the power fold to work along with a place for the other plug you need to buy a new switch and bezel for it. Looking into it myself.

I have on my truck right now are the power adjust/heated w/no power folding. I think buying these parts from another vehicle is better then buying a mirror kit. Thanks for all your input......Its time to go shopping ! r/,
