Racing Bullets For Exhaust?

HEY ALL, I'm new here and would like some advice cause I'm not to exhaust savvy on passenger trucks cause i am a heavy truck mechanic and deal with 5"inch exhaust pipes.My son bought 2.5" racing bullets to "surprise" me for Christmas and after what i just read about losing low end in the other post i am concerned.Will these hurt my performance? could just one be put on or do i do the the single 3" as previously suggested. Right now truck is stock but I plan on wringing more power out of it in the future.It is a 99 sierra extended cab w/5.3

Deffinatly go with a single 3" exhaust for low end torque.

If you do loose some low end power, it would be minimal. 3" single exhaust would help keep low end power, but any results from a muffler swap won't be noticeable on a stock engine, except the vroom vroom vroom sounds.

I replaced my stock muffler with a single 3" Dynomax Bullet. If anything, I gained a little low end...
