Speedo Recall

My dad just got a letter saying that there has been problem with the gauges saying the needles stick or freeze up and if you experience this problem to go in and have it fixed? anyone else get this letter, he has an 04 sierra extended cab

got mine a few wees ago. I personally haven't had any issues, but my uncle's had that problem shortly after he bought it...warranty fix. I wouldn't worry about it too much if your truck does not have the problem.

If you read the letter it tells you to put it in your glove box with your owners manual and if you have a problem take it to your dealer for service.

My daughter just had her instrument cluster replaced in her 2003 Yukon due to a sticking speedo.

Mine was replaced around March. I never had a sticky needle, they were just noisy.

not really asking for advice just asking how many people this has actually happened to.

I've had to have the gauge cluster replaced on my "03 twice to the tune of almost $400 a pop. Unfortunately I was over the 70K mile limit of the recall. So no reimbursement for me.
