2007VMAX Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 How would a wheel size ( 20" 8.5 with a 40mm offset) look compared to the stock 17" 8.5 wheel on my truck?
2007VMAX Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 Would they sit in farther than the stock wheels or out?
Darkanion Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 If I entered the #'s correctly and if I'm reading the screen right, it looks like they would be farther in. Here's the link I was looking at.
2007VMAX Posted December 29, 2007 Author Posted December 29, 2007 I did some measuring last night comparing the 20" wheels on my 07 Tahoe and the 17" wheels on the Vmax. What I found is that the 20's stick out farther than the 17's?! Installing 20" rims with a 40mm offset will actually stick out 1/8+" more than the stock 17's. I did a dry fit of the new rims this morning ( I recieved them last night right after I posted my question go figure ) and confirmed this. So I am guessing that GM made the 20" wheels 31mm and the 17" aprox. 41mm???? I am going with BF A/T KO's 285/55-20 looks they are going to sit perfectly under the truck, I learn something new every day
