Mod Advice Please.

Im looking at performing some mods to my newly aquired '00. On the list are headers, MSD 6A Ignition, and a programmer. Which brands of the above should I look into? . . Im in college so cheap deals are better than top performance. also mostly looking for fuel economy. I already have a K&N Intake system and MSD wiring. . . In a rush out the door so I'll probably embellish when I get back from dinner.

I, like everyone else on here will tell you to get a custom tune rather than a programmer.

As far as the other stuff, Im in the same situation. Id like to get some power mod info for my 2000 Sierra.

So far, Gibson headers have been about the cheapest ($300-$400) but I hear headers wont give large gains so I havent gotten them yet.

I was just looking into some pacesetter shortys (running ~$240 shipped on Ebay) as it is the last part of my exhaust I have to change. . . . are there any differences in sound with shortys?

 

 

I think the MSD Ignition would be good for gas and is also $200 . . . Never heard that much about ignition systems but I always wanted one . . This is my first truc that I have had that I can be that far down the mod list with. (Father pre-modded everything else I want )
